ABOUT JUSTIN KEYS

Even before I graduated from Taylor University in 2018 with a degree in Graphic Design, I had been working on design projects while also playing football and delving into music. I grew up in Mississippi and currently live in the Indianapolis, IN area. My football experience at Taylor (starting running back) gave me comaraderie and confidence as well as the ability to regroup and grow from defeat. As a poet/rapper, I learned to express my experiences with words. But my heart lies with the creative arts, graphics and drawing.

My goal is to create works, whether in art, poetry, or music that will express my experiences and those of others of my generation. I seek to translate, through solo and collaborative projects, what I see and feel and hopefully develop a name in my primary field, graphic design.

WORK EXPERIENCE

UPLAND PRINT AND STITCH, GRAPHIC DESIGNER

February 2018 - May 2018

During my time at Upland Print and Stitch, my responsibilities included communicating and meeting with clients requesting designs, screen printing, and creating/recreating artwork to meet their needs.

HOOSIER JIFFY PRINT, GRAPHIC DESIGNER/PRODUCTION ARTIST

September 2017 - December 2017

While I was employed at HJP, I was responsible for all phases of production, including: screen printing, organizing orders, creating files for embroidery, and making sure clients were satisfied with their orders.
